Our Rash Scare

Yesterday evening, after we got home from the park, I undressed Lorelai and got her ready for her bath. I noticed a few bumps on her thigh and but... didn't think much of it since she was outside playing. There's a pond right by the park so it could have easily been mosquitoes or something that bit her.

Anyway, this morning I got her up early because we were planning on doing a trial run at gymnastics. I took off her fleece sleeper and she had big, ugly splotches of red ALL OVER HER BODY. It was seriously so scary, I've NEVER seen a rash so bad.

Of course I was freaking out. I tried calling Mayo at work but he wouldn't answer his phone. I called around to a few pediatricians that we had checked out and the only one that would take her was Dr. L___. We got in there quickly and he was seriously the sweetest doctor ever! The whole staff was great so I had a good feeling about him.

He sang to Lore and checked out her rash and we figured out that it was probably the blueberries that she had had for a snack yesterday (and oops, for breakfast this morning)... She showed signs of sensitivity to them when she was an infant but it went away. She had them yesterday for the first time in a while, which is probably why it triggered the reaction. He just told me to give her benedryl a few times a day over the next few days to be safe.

She was acting fine, though. She pulled the scrapbooking box out first thing and played with her stickers (all while singing to herself). Then at the doctors I taught her "doctor" (she hasn't been in a while) and she was calling for him, "Dottttttt-torrrr, Where is he?"

Lorelai on the BIG GIRL slide! =)

A month ago she was scared to death of even looking at this slide. It's HUGE. Now she runs up the steps like they're nothing... She's gotten so brave!

Part I - zipping up the stairs

Part II - coming out the other end.

Yeah, she bumped her head. She seriously does it EVERY time, without fail. LOL...

These were from yesterday. She met a few friends there - L & K... they were older (6 and 7) but they loved playing with Lorelai. They totally babied her the entire time and she ate it right up. She was really reserved, but she giggled SO hard when K would put her on her lap and slide down the big slide with her. :)

The videos were taken after they left. She was sad to see them go!

Daddy, Daddy, Daddy

Lore, Máyo, & I went to a tiny park not far from our home yesterday to take some pics. We tried for some couples pics since we don't have any recent ones but that was a big, fat FAIL. Lorelai was just too hard to keep track of. She ran so much she ended up looking like this:

Her french braids started loosening, which resulted in a million flyaways. Her head was soaked in sweat and her face was beat red. But FUN, she had! :)

My new favorite picture of them two. I don't care if their faces are cut off, they are just so cute!

Video of Lorelai saying, "Daddy!!! Where is he???" :)

Gammie, PopPop, and the Grandchildren

Stink in the highchair

She wakes up looking like a million bucks:

Another Park Experience

Some pictures from the playground. She loves it now! She even goes down the slide by herself, something she's been scared of! :D
