Baby Trees

Another disclaimer: Ignore the messy table. With a toddler, it's rarely clean.

Warning: Baby Trees were harmed in the making of this video.

Video Compilation

Lorelai has mastered the jungle gym sections of the playground. I nearly had a heart attack when she tackled this big one... Time has seriously gone by way too quickly. :( Ignore the voices in the video - the lady wouldn't shut up in the first clip and I have a cold - hence the squeaky mess that is my voice.

The other clips of her saying 'hi' to everyone. :)

Princessa Lorelai - Cheesin' it Up

A few snapshots with the point and shoot. These were taken minutes ago - she smiled willingly for the camera. Check out that cheese! :)

(Big video and more park pics coming soon. :))

Turkey Day Video

At the in-laws for turkey day. She was having a blast playing with the dog. :)

Happy Turkey Day

So, we just got home from spending our Thanksgiving with Mayo's side of the family. We had a lot of fun! :) Here are a few pics from the day:

Before we left, all dressed and ready to go in her black, pink, and white outfit:

Mayo & Javi - they look like twins.
Javi & Sucel - we played Trouble and Javi won! :)

Some Random Shots

I got a little Point and Shoot digital camera for an early Christmas present -- I keep banging up my big one by taking it everywhere -- and it works pretty good. I expected less quality, especially taken in dark rooms.

Our tree - still not the best pic, but I was testing out the camera.

Pumpkin sleeping with her big butt in the air. She was out HARD. The room was completely dark when I took this one. :)

These were taken at the beginning of October by Mayo's sister, Marisol. His family came over to celebrate Lore's birthday. Unfortunately, my camera had been locked up in the bedroom and I couldn't get to it in time. She loved her cake (and all of the attention)!

Remembering Ally 2009

Today we did a balloon release for Ally and Grandma who both passed around the same time (Grandma on the 19th). It's a tradition that we started this year in order to share with Lorelai how special they were to us - even if one of them were only with us for a very brief time. Here are some pictures from the occasion.

Bye Bye, Balloons.

Jabbering Turns into Words

Lorelai was jabbering a LOT last night. She was using her typical words/sentences, with a lot of jumble in between. I posted on Facebook last night that I knew they would turn into perfectly articulated sentences soon. I WAS RIGHT! Not 12 hours later, she's using two new sentences:

Me: Lore, where's your baby doggy? (blanket)
Her: I don't know, Mommy.

(later)

Me: Lorelai, where did you put the clicker? (remote)
Her: It's over there. *pointing*

WAHHHHHH! She's growing up! *sniff*

Oh, and for those who care (not that anybody ever comes here anymore)... she did pop a molar, or part of a molar. She had NO symptoms whatsover, aside from a little whining last week ("my teeth hurt"). I checked her mouth yesterday and there it was, halfway through! She was a bear today, though.

Christmas Planning & Having a Blast

We are having such a great time planning our Lorelai's Christmas gifts this year. She's at the age now where she's really going to appreciate everything. She's already in LOVE with teh Christmas tree, Santa, and reading her Christmas books. Here are the bigger toys that we are planning on getting her.

Big Gift: Play Kitchen. Wal-mart lowered this wooden one down to $118 - steal! It's so cute! She has a little mini egg frying pan that moo gave her and she plays with it all of the time. I know she's going to love this kitchen. I can't wait to see her face that morning!

Play food, of course!

ANIMALZ! We bought her some of these little organic, wooden animals from a mommy bargain site. They were regularly $7.99 each, we got them for $3.50! She's getting like 8 or so - I can't remember exactly how many. (They are much bigger in real life)
SIT N SPIN - I've got a $10 off coupon, making this fun little toy only $10!
She's also getting some smaller stuff - a coulple DVD's (Annie, Pocahontas), Books, and Puzzles. Her stocking stuffers will probably be art stuff.

If we can swing it (I'm hoping we can!), she'll also get these two things:

First Dollhouse - she's loving "Pretend Play" right now, so I'm sure she'll like this.

Fur Real Kitty! Meows and purs - she'll love it!

WINNER

I completed NaNoWriMo 09 by writing a total of 50,000 words (plus some!) in the month of November. They allot you all 30 days to finish this challenge - it took me a little over 14. =D

I've already started re-writing the novel, though. I was talking with Mayo about it the other night and realized that I could make the beginning a lot better... more airtight, so to speak. :) I'm going to keep going and see how many words I can get total!

EDIT: 11/24 - Up to 80,000!

Writing Update...

I'm at 39,000 words, 13 days into the challenge. I should be finished with my 50K challenge by the beginning of next week ---- if I can maintain this pace! :)

Princess Lore

WHOA! Who is this child and what has she done with my Lorelai?!
Right after her bath, I stuck her in her witch costume, pulled her hair up and popped a bow in. Then we went into the bedroom where the big closet mirror is and she got to see herself... She thought she looked soooo pretty! :) I took her into her room and got the camera out. I was totally ready for the cat-and-mouse chase in order to get her face in the picture but nope... She sat there and SMILED. can you believe it?

Too bad I wasn't in the mood for "good" pics.. just snapshots!
